6409. (a)A candidate for the licensing examination may submit an application together with the required fee no sooner than 90 days prior to completing a practical nursing education program. If an exemption is denied, the Board will e-mail the applicant or licensee a discrepancy notice notifying them of the need to either complete an approved course or, if warranted, to submit additional documentation in support of their request for an exemption. An individual whose supporting documentation has not been received by the Board at least 90 days prior to the expiration date of the temporary practice permit shall submit, within 10 days of receiving notice of the deficiency from the Board, a detailed written explanation of why the supporting documentation has not been supplied to the Board in a timely manner.
