The festival takes place on the grounds of a medieval fortress and castle in the citys historic centre. The ten day event coincides with the school districts winter break. Summer brings a bounty of gifts produced locally which are focused at the Foothills Food Festival held in August at the height of the harvest season. Artist in Residence: Elina Waage Mikalsen.
